Into the sandbox
Q (Ben Whishaw) errs on the side of caution this time when handling a USB drive in No Time To Die (2021). The last time he flippantly connected one to a computer, a worm infected and spread into MI6’s computer network with disastrous effects in Skyfall (2012).
So this time around, Q ensures that he first attempts to access the unknown-origin USB via his “sandbox” computer – one that is completely isolated from his network and not connected to the outside world.
In it, he finds some large database files that just so happen to be the missing files from Obruchev’s computer. As in most movie computer scenes, the computer visual of accessing files, cross-checking data and viewing a database always gives me a laugh, although in this instance, it’s not terrible. Aside from the computer jargon and discussion surrounding the head-scratching (I was never really a fan of this plot) Heracles initiative, we at least get a list of several names of previously unknown names of members of Spectre, which is kind of cool.
Here are screenshots from the above clip showing the names:
Aside from Ernst Blofeld, of course, all of the names are unfamiliar. Here they are listed below (alphabetized) just in case they pop up in future movies or other trivia:

Definitely some interesting, weird and likely AI generated names above, in my opinion. I wonder if any will ever have significance in a future James Bond movie? Sure, Spectre is gone, but maybe a future villain had his start as an ex-Spectre member…?
